M.Video-Eldorado says H1 adjusted IFRS net profit rises by 18%
MOSCOW, Aug 18 (PRIME) -- The adjusted net profit of Russia’s largest electronic goods and household appliances retailer M.Video-Eldorado grew by 18% on the year to 6.39 billion rubles in January–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The figure was adjusted to a loss from associated and joint ventures, which amounted to 1.267 billion rubles in January–June 2020 and to 945 million rubles in the reporting period. It was also adjusted to a 118 million ruble spending on anti-coronavirus measures in the reporting period and 86 million rubles spent on the matter in the same period in 2020.
The net profit was also adjusted to a yield from a written off subsidized loan in 2020 in the framework of COVID measures, amounting to 2.52 billion rubles in January–June 2021.
Revenue of the company increased by 22.3% on the year to 212.776 billion rubles, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) grew by 37.1% to 18.311 billion rubles.
